Market
This is not an I-4 listing mill. The companies we know are contractor shops, ag-adjacent services, professional practices, and owner-operated businesses that have been here longer than the buyer who just moved down.

Alachua, Marion, Levy, Bradford, Union, Gilchrist, Putnam, Columbia. University-adjacent professional firms in Gainesville. Construction and trades that work the whole region. Rural service companies whose value is a route, a license, and a crew that shows up.
Buyers here are often local operators, families coming home, or people who already work in the trade. National searchers show up too. They still have to understand a Florida lease, a county license, and a customer base that is not a dashboard.
When a company or a buyer sits in Jacksonville, Ocala, the Nature Coast, or further, we still take the file if we can do it well. We will not pretend we have a branded office in every city.
Where we are useful
Licensed contractors, specialty trades, and shops with equipment, bonded work, and a reputation that does not survive a sloppy sale.
Firms where the book of business and the people are the company. Transition is the deal. The multiple is the easy part.
Service companies, light manufacturing, ag-adjacent businesses, and local retail that actually makes money. Not every storefront is a listing.
North Florida books are often tax-minimized, cash-heavy, and kept by a bookkeeper who has been there seventeen years. That is not a moral failing. It is a recast. Someone who has lived in those files is less likely to confuse a pickup truck with EBITDA.
It is also why Foundry is an independent brokerage. The owners we sit with already have an accountant. The sale needs its own room.
